Privacy Policy
On this page
TickerFroggy is a market data summary application for supported stocks, cryptocurrencies, and currency pairs. TickerFroggy does not give buy, sell, hold, or trading advice.
Controller And Privacy Contact
Similj Labs is responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy. Privacy questions can be submitted through the contact form. TickerFroggy does not create user accounts or personal profiles.
Limited Information We Process
TickerFroggy is designed to process as little user information as practical. Some limited information may still be considered personal data under privacy laws because it can relate to an app install, device, subscription, support request, or service request.
- Subscription and access information, such as Google Play or Apple App Store purchase verification data and a random app identifier used to check whether TickerFroggy Plus is active.
- Service and technical information, such as supported assets checked, app version, timestamps, request metadata, error data, security events, and short-lived hashed request identifiers derived from IP address and user agent.
- Optional app analytics information, only if you enable app analytics, such as a Firebase app-instance identifier, screens viewed, buttons tapped, sessions, selected language, subscription tier, asset type, ticker symbol, feature usage, app/device metadata, purchase or subscription event metadata, and coarse country or region derived by Google Analytics from a masked IP address. Analytics does not receive message text, AI report text, payment card details, portfolio holdings, or precise location from TickerFroggy.
- Support and safety information, such as contact form messages, reply email addresses, and reports you submit about AI-generated text.
If you send a support, privacy, legal, or general question through the contact form, we store your email address with the message so we can respond and handle the request.
TickerFroggy does not intentionally store raw IP addresses in its own app records. IP addresses may be received as part of normal internet traffic and may appear in hosting provider platform logs. In TickerFroggy contact and explanation report records, request identifiers derived from IP address and user agent are stored only as short hashes and are removed after up to 30 days.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
TickerFroggy does not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, biometric data, or genetic data. Please do not submit sensitive information through the contact form or report features.
Information Stored On Your Device
The app may store your My Pond list, recent checks, saved mood results, and subscription status on your device.
Financial And Device Information
TickerFroggy does not collect payment card details, bank account details, brokerage account details, wallet private keys, portfolio holdings, contact lists, photos, precise location, phone numbers, identity documents, or an advertising ID. If you enable app analytics, Google Analytics may derive coarse country or region from a masked IP address and assign an app-instance identifier as described above. Google Play or the Apple App Store processes subscription payments and may provide TickerFroggy with purchase or subscription information needed to verify access. The backend uses store purchase credentials to verify access but does not store raw purchase credentials persistently in app data; short-lived verification cache entries use hashed identifiers.
How We Use Information
- To show signal-based asset mood information and short AI-generated explanations.
- To verify subscription access through Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.
- To understand feature usage, improve app quality, and prioritize fixes.
- To review reported AI-generated explanations and improve the app.
- To respond to messages submitted through the contact form.
Legal Bases For Processing
Where laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, TickerFroggy relies on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the app, subscription features, access checks, support, and requested functionality.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, improve quality, and review reported AI-generated content.
- Legal obligations: to comply with applicable accounting, tax, platform, security, or legal requirements.
- Consent: for optional app analytics and where consent is required by law for another optional feature or permission.
Third-Party Services
TickerFroggy may use third-party providers for app hosting, market data, payments, analytics, and AI-assisted explanation generation. Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase processes the optional app analytics information described above only after you enable app analytics. Google Gemini processes asset symbols and names, public market and signal data, source titles or snippets, and scoring context to generate source-backed explanations and Watch points. Microsoft Azure Translator processes generated explanation text and the requested target language when a user requests an available translation. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.
TickerFroggy does not send contact messages, reply email addresses, random access identifiers, store purchase credentials, payment details, portfolio holdings, or financial account information to Gemini or Azure Translator. AI and translation requests are limited to the market-related content needed to generate or translate the displayed explanation.
Backend Location, International Transfers, And Safeguards
The TickerFroggy backend service is hosted in the United States. Information described in this Privacy Policy may be transmitted to, processed in, and stored on servers located in the United States when you use the service.
TickerFroggy may also use service providers located in the United States or other countries for hosting, payment verification, market data, AI-assisted explanation generation, security, diagnostics, and support. Where required by applicable privacy laws, international transfers are handled using appropriate transfer mechanisms made available by those providers, such as adequacy decisions, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and related UK or Swiss extensions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent safeguards.
TickerFroggy aims to limit data sent to third-party market data and AI providers to what is needed to operate the service. For example, market data and AI-assisted explanation generation requests generally use asset, market, and technical information rather than your name, contact details, portfolio, bank account, brokerage account, or wallet information.
If you do not want information described in this Privacy Policy to be transmitted to or processed in the United States, you should not use the service. If you already use TickerFroggy, you should cancel any active subscription through the applicable app store, uninstall the app, and stop using the service.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share limited information with service providers when needed to operate the app, verify purchases, comply with law, or protect the service.
Security
TickerFroggy uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS for service traffic, access controls for administrative tools, rate limiting, input limits, and abuse-prevention controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Data Retention
Device data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app. Contact form messages, including the submitted email address and message content, are stored as text so we can respond and handle the request. Contact form messages, explanation reports, and free-trial identity records are automatically deleted within 90 days and may be removed earlier when their storage limits are reached. Request identity hashes in stored contact messages and explanation reports are removed after up to 30 days. Explanation reports are not linked to a user account and cannot reliably be attributed to an individual. Short-lived app-store verification cache entries expire automatically. Server records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, accounting, and legal compliance. Market-data caches and internal research snapshots do not contain a TickerFroggy user profile and may be retained separately for service quality and historical analysis.
Automated Processing
TickerFroggy uses automated systems to calculate signal-based asset mood summaries and generate short explanations. These outputs are informational app content and do not make legal, credit, employment, insurance, trading, or similarly significant decisions about you.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, or review of personal data associated with you. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Privacy questions can be submitted through the contact form. TickerFroggy automatically deletes user-submitted server records within 90 days rather than maintaining long-lived user accounts or profiles.
Children
TickerFroggy is intended for an adult audience and is not designed for children. The service does not create user accounts or knowingly build profiles about children. App-store age ratings and access controls may apply by country or region. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the contact form, use the contact form so it can be reviewed and removed.
Your Choices
App analytics is off by default. You can enable or disable it at any time from Info in the app. Disabling it stops future analytics collection and resets the app's Firebase Analytics data on that device.
You can remove local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling the app. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store where you purchased it. Contact messages, reply email addresses, explanation reports, and free-trial identity records are automatically deleted within 90 days. Explanation reports use a fixed report reason and market context, are not linked to a user account, and cannot reliably be matched to an individual.
Public Website
The public TickerFroggy website does not use Firebase Analytics, marketing analytics, behavioral advertising, or advertising cookies. If you use the website contact form, the service processes the reply email address and message you submit. The website hosting service may also process ordinary request and security logs, such as IP address, user agent, requested path, and timestamp, as part of delivering and protecting the site.
Changes
We may update this policy as TickerFroggy changes. The latest version will be available on this page.
